Discussion
An early season storm is exiting the region, to be replaced by cool fall
weather the next two days. A weak weather system will bring some clouds
to Idaho Wednesday through Friday, but no heavy rain or mountain snow is
expected through the weekend there or in Utah or California through the
weekend. However, some showers will develop in Jackson Hole Thursday and
early Friday where the brunt of the storm will bring some cooler weather.

Long Range Forecast
A seasonal weather pattern for September will dominate the weather over
the Western States. No significant Hurricane activity in the Eastern
Pacific near the Mexican coastline is present at this time. This is
important, because this time of the year. Often these hurricanes, and
their moisture will be drawn northward as Pacific Storms send cold
fronts over the Western States. September is particularly vulnerable to
these kinds of episodes, but right now, I don’t see an abnormal amount
of activity to be concerned about. As these Pacific fronts become more
prevalent, temperatures begin their seasonal slide downward. But, this
time of the year can be spectacular as a hint of fall makes for
beautiful colors on the trees at higher elevations and the crisp cool
fall air is typically cleaner, giving great visibility and wonderful
outdoor experiences.

near 62. North northeast wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. North northwest wind
around 6 mph becoming east northeast.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. East wind 6 to 9 mph
becoming west southwest.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29. West wind 6 to 9
mph becoming east.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of rain showers before midnight, then a
slight chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.
Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: A slight chance of rain and snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a
high near 67.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33.
